Your chest won’t open a wall. Your shoulders, on the other hand…
nice job bonnie thunders
Some more thoughts: In the beginning of the clip #108 and #23 aren’t close enough together and #108 steps out to cover the outside too soon. She realizes this (too late, however) and can’t get back in time to cover the hole. This could have been avoided if: #23 went with her to the outside OR if she had covered the middle of the wall and trusted her teammate to help her to the outside if necessary. Considering that this is one of the first times this team has played together, it’s not surprising to see players trying to make a go of it on their own.
#23 tries to stop bonnie with her shoulders (breaking at the waist) and doesn’t get her hips in front quickly enough. #15 sets a good pick and quashes any possibility of #23 getting he hips back and driving bonnie out.
#A18 cuts through the picks/blue blockers but by the time she gets there, bonnie is too far forward. If she would have cut more towards the inside, she might have made it in time. (assuming the blue team’s picks are unsuccessful)
